INSPIRATION
I'm inspired by strong Black women, from my mother, the first African American and first woman Director of the Department of Defense Military Schools, Atlantic and Germany Regions and Superintendent of Compton Unified School District to my Bigmama who had a 4th grade education to Shonda Rhimes. I love telling great stories with Black women at the center.
BIO
I am originally from the Bay Area in California. I moved to Atlanta in 2011 where I transferred to Morehouse College to finish off my BA in Cinema, Television and Emerging Media Studies. I graduated from Morehouse in 2015 and in between that time in the end of 2019 where I finally enrolled in graduate school at Full Sail University - I was doing freelance work. I did weddings, local music videos, web shows, short films etc. This is where a lot of my real world experience came into play. I also had the opportunity to PA for Bobbcat Films and shadow director Deon Taylor of Hidden Empire Film group, who became like a mentor to me.
