REELS / STILLS
life itself, my family and culture.
Plancher is a writer/director from Port-Au-Prince, Haiti who currently resides in Los Angeles. Having started high school at the age of 12 and college at 16, Plancher’s future could have taken many paths, but he decided to forego becoming a lawyer in favor of pursuing his childhood dream of becoming a filmmaker. After receiving his linguistics degree, Plancher moved to L.A. for an internship with BET which resulted in an office p.a. position. Plancher worked various positions in TV/film until he landed a writer’s p.a. gig on the critically-acclaimed Showtime series THE CHI created by Emmy-winner Lena Waithe. Later, he became the showrunner’s assistant. He held the same title for Paramount Network smash hit series YELLOWSTONE created by Oscar-nominated writer/director Taylor Sheridan. In between gigs, he wrote and directed his directorial debut which won the HBO Best Short Film award. Plancher plans to write/direct in Hollywood while making foreign films back home in Haiti.
